  • Asus Releases Two New Netbooks In The UK

    Asus has added two new streamlined Seashell Eee PCs to its netbook family in the UK, with the new 1005HA and 1101HA models out later this month.

    Asus’ two new Seashell Eee PCs – the 10.1 inch 1005HA and the 11.6 inch 1101HA – are the first in the super-slim range of netbooks with replaceable batteries.

    “Both models will join the existing 1008HA model, combining an

    elegant and lightweight design with the latest mobile technology for a perfect combination of style and portability,” reads Asus’ product release.

    Asus’ Eee PC 1005HA and 1101HA are also the first Eee PCs to offer the new Eee Docking software, “which provides a non invasive ‘dock’ on the top of the screen” giving users access to the following:

    • Eee@Vibe: convenient access to music, videos, radio stations and more
    • Eee Sharing: allows sharing and syncing of messages and data with other Eee PC users and Desktop PCs, even without an Internet connection.
    • Eee Xperience: a suite of applications enhancing the visual and audio performance of the Eee PC
    • Eee Tools: a collection of useful tools including Parental Control.

    The Asus Eee PC 1005HA has up to an impressive 10.5 hours lifetime on one battery, a 160GB HDD Storage and the usual Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 2.1, 1.3 megapixel webcam, 3 USB ports and runs Windows XP Home.

    The slightly larger Eee PC 1101HA has an 11.6″ LED backlit display, with a maximum resolution of 1366 x 768.

    If you are away from a power source for days at a time, then these latest Eee PCs could well be the netbooks for you.

  • Asus Eee PC T91 Starts Shipping

    Asus Eee PC T91 netbook has started shipping from today. The Netbook  will come with 8.9-inch resistive touch screen and is convertible to a Tablet PC. It features Multitouch technology which is going to go well on Windows 7 operating system. The Asus Eee PCT91 sports an Intel Atom Z520 1.33GHz processor, comes pre-installed with Windows XP Home, and has a maximum of 2GB memory. It comes with a 16GB SSD storage capacity.

    The machine comes with Ethernet, a multicard reader, VGA output, twin USB 2.0 sockets and audio in / out ports. The Netbook aslo comes equipped with a GPS module, Bluetooth, WiFi and 3G.

    The much hyped and anticipated super-skinny netbook from ASUS, the ASUS Eee PC 1005HA, has just got its product specifications page. The new Netbook comes in the Seachell range of products from ASUS. The ASUS Eee PC 1005HA will have user-replaceable batteries and a choice of Intel Atom N270 or N280 processors. there are a few variations available in these netbooks like, 1.3-megapixel or 0.3-megapixel webcam, a choice of either Windows XP or GNU Linux, and a choice of colors: white, black, pink or blue.

    ASUS is putting 3 batteries for offer, a 3-cell 2.2Ah (23W/h) pack rather for 4hrs, two 6-cell packs, one 2.2Ah (48W/h) good for 8.5hrs runtime and another, 2.8Ah (63W/h) which delivers a claimed 10.5hrs. Among the other noteable features are WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and ethernet, together with three USB 2.0 ports, VGA out, audio in/out and a MMC/SD(SDHC) card reader.

    The ASUS Eee PC 1005HA-M will be priced at $405 while the Eee PC 1005HA-H will come in at $473. both are set to a July launch in France.
