CES 2011 – AMD Brazos Acer Aspire One A0522 netbook

The release of this device will mark the first application of processor company, AMD’s new Brazos platform. The annual tech jamboree is shaping up to be an exciting event for both companies.
The Brazo is the product of AMD’s recently developed, Fusion strategy and is a low-power platform aimed at smaller notebooks. It will be powered by AMD’s C-50 accelerated processing unit (APU) with its dual-core 1 GHz central processor.

Netbooks vs Tablets: Asus predict 2011 netbook sales increase

Netbook manufacturers Asus have predicted increasing sales in 2011, despite stiff competition from the big Tablet companies.A press release from Asus predicted that the company will be shifting 14 million units of Notebooks next year, as well as experiencing five percent rise in motherboard sales, in line with the growing PC market.
