Sony has finally silenced the many rumours about its upcoming products by announcing that the S1 and S2 tablet computers will soon be launched on the market.
Some think Sony’s announcement was a bit premature, as no precise details have been given yet about the tablets’ specifications and prices. However, experts maintain that the secrecy that surrounds the two tablets is part of Sony’s marketing plan, as the tablet computer market is very competitive nowadays and so fast-changing, the company might deicide to lower the tablets’ prices a few days before launching them.
Practically speaking, what Sony is trying to do is to create a buzz around their forthcoming tablets as they hope their tablet will outsale the iPad 2, which is a big rival if one considers that Apple is the only brand that has been able to keep its sales steady for years, while all other tablet computers and smartphones have not been used to their full potential.
