Look & Feel

The Acer Timeline 5810TZ is just as good looking as the other laptops from the Timeline range. The design is modern and looks gorgeous. The black and silver colours compliment each other wonderfully. This laptop is super thin at 24mm and light too for its size, so is ideal if you are on the move, but don't want to compromise on screen size. Upon opening the laptop you are presented with a full sized keyboard and the touchpad is super responsive too. So far so good.
 

Features

This Acer laptop has a 15.6 inch high-brightness CineCrystal screen with 1366 x 768 resolution, so images are always vibrant and clear. Dolby surround sound and 2 built in speakers are ideal for iTunes. Data transfer is really easy with the 4 x USB ports and there is a HDMI port, great for linking your BBC iPlayer to your TV. There is built in wireless and webcam which are also really easy to use so video calls are clear.
 

Performance

There is loads of storage space on this laptop, with a decent 320GB hard drive so you will have no trouble saving your music, files and documents. As with other Acer Timeline laptops this laptop has an 'average' processor, I know it is one of the ways Acer have found to keep the battery life longer, and to be fair, it is perfcectly decent for normal use....just don't try and play Call of Duty on it! The 1.3GHz CPU Intel processor is the standard processor on all Timelines. Again big claims for the battery life from Acer they say 8 hours I say 4 5, so not quite as good as Acer claim but still very good indeed. It has been a while since I have been able to squeeze 5 hours out of a laptop battery.
 

Value for Money

As with all Acer Timeline laptops this one is also great value for money and you will definitely enjoy using it. It is well designed and looks much more exensive than it actually is.
 

Overall

The Acer Timeline 5810TZ laptop is brilliant as either a portable laptop on the move or a desktop replacement. It performs fine and looks very nice too.
