Description for the Acer Aspire Timeline 3810T C2S/SU3500 1.3G Laptop
Look & Feel
The first thing I noticed about the Acer Timeline 3810T laptop was how thin and light it is. This laptop is less than 1 inch thick. It™s light too so it is very portable and ideal for commuters and regular travellers. It™s also pretty good looking, black and glossy with a good size soft-touch keyboard that is easy and very comfortable to type on. I've been a touch critical of Acer in the past for boring design, but I think someone there has got a new version of Illustrator, as this one is a peach.
Features
This 13.3 inch laptop has a superb CineCrystal LED-backlit TFT LCD with 1366 x 768 resolution so images always look incredibly clear and bright. Watching videos on the internet or viewing photos is great with this machine. Dolby surround sound and built in speakers are ideal for listening to your favourite music. HDMI and 3 x USB ports make data transfer childs play and not forgetting the usual built in wireless and webcam which are also really easy to use. For such a skinny machine, this one looks and sounds brilliant.
Performance
This laptop performs reasonably well it only has a 1.4GHz CPU Intel Core 2 Solo processor which might not be the fastest processor around, but is perfectly adequate for everyday use. There is ample storage space with 320GB so all of your photo™s and work files can be saved with no problem at all. Acer claim you can get up to 9 hours out of the battery but I have only managed 5 so far. I guess Acer's claim will be based on so called 'optimum usage' which often involves switching off the monitor and having the hard drive go into hibernate every few minutes. That being said, 5 hours is very good indeed.
Value for Money
This laptop is excellent value for money this one it's solid and robust and will definitely last a good few years even on the move all the time.
Overall
The Acer Timeline 3810T laptop is absolutely ideal for people who are on the move, it is incredibly portable. It also looks brilliant and performs decently enough. I would definitely recommend it to my family and friends.
