Fully Ruggedised
The fully ruggedised CF-28 with it's water, dust, shock and vibration resistance is the ultimate expression of Panasonic's application led design approach, ideal for serious field use and abuse.This is a seriously ruggedised notebook PC, capable of withstanding a 3 ft drop. The cabinet is constructed of magnesium alloy, 20 times stronger than ordinary ABS plastic. The hard disk drive is surrounded by shock-protecting gel, able to handle shock and vibration and the sealed casing prevents water and dust from getting inside.

Mobile Performance
At the heart of the Toughbook 28 is an Intel® Pentium®III 600MHz SpeedStep processor with 256MB SDRAM and a 20GB Hard Disk Drive.

Anti-Glare TFT Display
The Toughbook 28 incorporates a 12.1''XGA colour active matrix display. Panasonic's display technology reduces reflection and screen glare to just 0.5% allowing consistently sharp and bright images, even in bright sunlight. The screen is also mounted in a unique damping system to prevent damage .
